Pesto di Pistacchi Siciliani (v)

Sicily is home to the world's most-prized variety of the seed - the pistacchio verde di Bronte, or green pistachio from Bronte, emerald of Sicily. Centred on the town of Bronte, the pistachio trees grow across some 3,000 hectares (7,400 acres) on the slopes of Etna, an active volcano. It is right from there that our Pistachio's Pesto come from, produced by Sicilian NQ's owner family just right in the slopes of Etna.

Our artisan laboratory in Paterno' is just 30 km away from Bronte.

Ingredients of our pesto: Pistachios, Parmigiano Reggiano, Sicilian Toasted Almonds, Basil, Black Peppers

Suggested for seasoning pasta, pista, fish or toasted bread.

It's done fresh by order so it expire quickly.

If you visited our restaurant in Manchester City Center (NQ) you are probably aware of the excellent quality of our Pesto di Pistacchi Siciliani that we use in several dishes, two of them are also our best sellers:

  • Montalbano Ate your heart: homemade pasta filled with sheep's ricotta and pistachios from Bronte served in a creamy pistachio pesto sauce and pistachio flaked on top

  • Arancino Pistachio: stuffed with cheese and pistachios served on a creamy sauce with pistachio flakes
